Background Chronic liver disease (CLD), including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and viral hepatitis, is common in people living with HIV (PLWH). However, there are limited data on whether HIV is associated with a different risk of major adverse liver outcomes (MALO) in patients with CLD.
