ELM-Based Liver Disease Prediction Model

The liver is an important part of the digestive system. Unfortunately, an unhealthy diet affects the liver and it kills more than 2 million people worldwide every year. With so many people affected, it is important to develop computational disease prediction models. In the present work, we develop liver disease prediction model based on ELM classifier to classify whether a patient is suffering from liver disease or not based on the data. The dataset used in the work is a standard dataset known as Indian liver patient dataset (ILPD) which is freely available. The computational results show that the proposed model outperforms other existing models.
