Three isomers of a terbium(III) phthalocyanine double-decker complex have been synthesized and isolated, and their single-ion magnetic properties have been investigated. S,S, R,R, and meso isomers of [Tb(TdMPPc)2] were generated because of the difference in the direction of the coordination of two C4h-type phthalocyanines to the central Tb3+ ion.
