Parameter Identification of a DC servomechanism using a Robust Least Squares Algorithm with Variable Forgetting Factor.

This work presents a comparative analysis between two online parameter identification algorithms, namely the Robust Least-Squares and the Robust Least Squares with Variable Forgetting Factor, and the standard offline Least Squares algorithm. These algorithms are employed for estimating the parameters of the model of a DC servomechanism which is the main component of a low-cost experimental platform. The algorithms are tested using real-time data.
