Resilient frequency stability of a PV/wind penetrated complex power system with CSA tuned robust Type-2 fuzzy cascade PIF Controller

This research study aims to aware faster stabilization in inter-area power flow and frequency of a complex power grid under different disturbances with employing novel techniques and approaches. The objective of the power system is to generate electricity as per the load demand which commonly named as automatic generation control (AGC). In AGC controller concern, the study empowers a robust type-2 fuzzy cascaded PI fractional order (T2FCPIF) approach to monitor system dynamics. Further, the novelty of the proposed T2F-CPIF has been compared over standard type-2, type-1 fuzzy PID and PID controllers to depict superiority of the controller. Again to produce optimum parameters of the proposed T2F-CPIF controller, the work has suggested a novel crow-search algorithm (CSA) under different situations. It has been noticed that T2F-CPIF approach is observed as an advanced tool to magnify settling time of Delta F1 (area1 frequency discrepancy) by180.32%, 372.02% & 470% as compared to standard Type-2 fuzzy, Type-1 fuzzy and PID controllers respectively. An extensive exploration on all outcomes justifies advanced controllability of the CSA tuned T2F-CPIF controller for stability excursion of the proposed power grid network. Finally, the AGC attribution is supervised with the implementation of super conducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) and interline power flow control (IPFC) devices.
