摘要
5G is the latest mobile communications network, which has been developed over the last decade aiming to provide a high bit rate, a lower latency time and a better quality of service for all users. Concurrently, the densification of urban areas has emerged, where the antennas need to be integrated in the urban environment. In this work, a nature-inspired antenna is proposed as an appealing solution for 5G infrastructures located in urban areas. More specifically, a four-element MIMO configuration was developed to operate at the 5G band n78 (from 3.3 GHz to 3.8 GHz). The structure elements present an average simulated gain of 4.1 dBi and an average bandwidth of 750 MHz. The isolation between the antennas is above 24 dB, approximately.
