Anti-Windup Trajectory Optimization for High-Mass Mars Entry Vehicles

A trajectory optimization method under complex disturbance is proposed for the future high-mass Mars entry vehicles. First, the dynamic model for the high-mass Mars entry vehicle with a supersonic inflatable aerodynamic decelerator (SIAD) is established. Then, an orthogonal array of three levels with four variables is used to consider the hybrid disturbances of the aerodynamic parameters, and a sensitivity formula is designed to quantify the sensitivity of the bank angle to the hybrid disturbances. With an anti-windup index based on the sensitivity formula and a terminal constraint index together, a comprehensive index is obtained to solve the anti-windup trajectory optimization problem. Finally, the anti-windup trajectory optimization method is simulated and compared with the traditional method. The results show that the proposed method can reduce the sensitivity of aerodynamic disturbance and improve the tracking performance of drag acceleration.
