摘要
Two 26.5/39.5 GHz 4-element antenna arrays utilizing patch antenna elements are presented for mmWave 5G wireless communication applications. RT/duroid 5880LZ laminate is used as the substrate to provide sufficient bandwidth for two millimeter-wave bands as well as maintaining low mutual coupling effect between the adjacent elements. The resonance frequencies and bandwidths are set to be 26.5 and 39.5 GHz and 1.7 and 2.2 GHz, respectively. The element spacing is set to be 0.55λ0 that provides at least 22 dB of isolation between elements. The 26.5/39.5 GHz arrays show pure linearly-polarized radiation patterns with the gain of −12.8/12.4 dB and 27.5/21.4 dB of front-to-back ratio. The antenna arrays are utilized in a dual-beam concurrent mmWave beamforming receiver.
