CIM-based Integration Modeling for Energy Flow, Information Flow, and Service Flow in Distribution Substation Area

The integration of energy flow, information flow, and service flow is essential for the distribution substation area intelligence and is important for the development of the new power system. The common information model (CIM) for IEC61970 and IEC61968 standards can describe the devices, customers, and their relationship in the distribution substation area abstractly and normatively, which promotes multi-flow integration. In this paper, we propose a CIM-based integration modeling for energy flow, information flow, and service flow in the distribution substation area. In particular, a CIM-based integration platform is proposed according to CIM extension principles to construct the models of energy flow, information flow, and service flow, respectively. Simulation results show that the proposed models can effectively achieve the optimization of energy and communication resources in the distribution substation area.
