Analysis of armature current assisted suspension force control of EDS maglev

摘要
In superconducting electrical Suspension (EDS) maglev., lack of suspension force at low speed is an important problem remaining to be solved. This paper presents a method to increase the suspension force at low speed by armature current control of linear motor. Firstly., the mathematical model of Superconducting linear motor and suspension system of EDS maglev is established by space harmonic method. Based on the model., suspension force control system is built. By controlling the armature d-axis current., linear motor generates electromagnetic force in the suspension direction., which realizes the control of the suspension height. Besides., the control system can provide auxiliary suspension force at low speed., and produce damping force to suppress the suspension force fluctuations during operation. At last., the finite element model of EDS vehicle is established., and the simulation results verify the correctness of mathematical model.
