Double Iterative Joint Signal Equalization and Detection for HF Fading Channels

Signal equalization and detection technology is an effective method to compensate system characteristics and reduce inter-symbol interference. In the HF communication environment, for the problem of unsatisfactory performance and complexity of joint equalization and decoding based on Linear Minimum Mean Square Error (LMMSE) algorithm when the signal is high-order modulation, this paper proposes a joint equalization and decoding algorithm based on dynamically improved double iterative equalization. Simulation experiment shows that compared with the joint equalization detection based on LMMSE algorithm, the new algorithm reduces the number of iterations with almost no performance loss, thereby reducing the algorithm complexity.
