An Extended Lyapunov-Function-Based Control Strategy for Phase-Shifted Full-Bridge Converter

This work proposes an extended Lyapunov function-based control strategy for the Phase-Shifted Full Bridge (PSFB) converter. Lyapunov-based classical control achieves global asymptotically stability at the expense of a steady-state output voltage error that results from the lack of an external voltage loop at the control input. Due to this, a control method based on the extended Lyapunov function is suggested, this strategy reduces the steady-state error without compromising the closed-loop system’s global stability. Simulation is used to evaluate the proposed control strategy, and the results showed that in addition to ensuring global stability, the control strategy generates output voltage error that is almost zero in a stable state. In terms of dynamic response and steady-state performance, the suggested control technique is finally contrasted with a traditional PI controller.
