摘要
The ongoing electrification of land, air, space, and sea vehicle systems has placed an increased level of importance on the design and architecture choices of their respective electric power delivery networks. In this work, the performance of a multi-bus medium voltage dc system that is representative of future Navy Electric Warship ambitions is evaluated. The selected system topology is based around a dual wound generator with actively controlled rectifiers. Experimental results demonstrate that such a system can supply multiple buses from the same source while maintaining strong isolation between them. These results - along with a demonstration of system-level performance including the integration of dual-fed loads and energy storage provide a useful reference for designers tasked with developing reliable and cost-effective power system solutions in these new and emerging environments.
