摘要
•The ZK60 Mg alloy was successfully processed by forward shear normal extrusion process in the temperature range of 200 °C to 350 °C.•Shear failure behavior of deformed specimens was studied through the shear punch testing in the temperature range of 250 °C to 250 °C.•The 350 °C deformed specimen presented the superior shear properties at room temperature and 250 °C due to a fairly uniform fine grain microstructure.•The highest stability in mechanical properties was obtained in the 350 °C deformed specimen during shear punch testing depending on its microstructure characteristic.
