摘要
The proposed study focuses on the treatment of lung cancer with terahertz wave ablation using a Ta 4 C 3 (tantalum carbide)-based clover-shaped patch antenna. To perform DNA demethylation, a clover-shaped patch antenna operating at a resonance frequency of 1.65 THz with a peak gain value of 9.85 dBi and a bandwidth of 104% has been designed. The effect of MXene on antenna performance has been studied for conductivity, thickness, and sheet resistance. TWA performance analysis has been performed by placing the proposed antenna on a healthy and tumor lung phantom. According to THz safety standards, power loss density, and temperature distribution have been investigated for the effects on tissue with the THz antenna. The effects on return loss, gain, e-field, and current density parameters, which vary in healthy and cancerous tissue, have been discussed. In addition, the sensitivity (S), the figure of Merit (FOM), and the quality factor indicating the detection quality defined for the effects on biological tissues with the tested antenna have been examined. According to the results obtained, while less temperature increase occurs in healthy lung tissue, higher temperature increase occurs in tumor lung tissue. The simulations with a biocompatible MXene-based antenna show that the use of THz wave in cancer treatment will be safe and promising.
