Directional beam antenna control in response to drone tilts.

摘要
In this study, a directional beam antenna is proposed to relay transmissions between flighting drones. The proposed antenna maintains the communication link by varying the beam width when the drones are tilted by wind or other factors. Its structure is based on a small patch antenna, and the beam width and gain are changed by overlapping no-fed elements. In this study, the beam width and gain are analyzed by changing the number of no-feed elements by computer simulation, and the optimum application of the beam width to the tilt of the drone is described. Moreover, a switching circuit is proposed for dynamic beam width control.
