Towards the digital transformation of distribution system operators using knowledge graphs and conversational AI

As part of the digital transformation of large companies, such as Distribution System Operators (DSO), the communication between companies and their customers is moving more and more in the direction of Conversational AI. Two big challenges need to be faced in this context, namely: 1) how to efficiently transfer the partially fragmented company knowledge into a Knowledge Graph (KG) that is used as background knowledge for conversational AI and 2) how can the partially manual setup process of a Conversational AI Platform be fully automated using the semantic descriptions in the KG? This paper outlines a solution developed to address these challenges, as part of the WisNat project.
