Minimally-invasive axillary-to-coronary artery bypass: Clinical case and review of the technique

The minimally-invasive direct coronary artery bypass surgery represents a very useful technique for the isolated left anterior descending artery revascularization. When the left internal mammary artery cannot be used as a graft, the extra-anatomic subclavian/axillary artery to coronary artery bypass must be considered as an excellent alternative. We present a clinical case and a brief review of the indications, contraindications and key technical aspects of this procedure. (c) 2022 Sociedad Espanola de Cirugia Cardiovascular y Endovascular.
