The differences in clinical outcomes were statistically not significant between empirical and preemptive antifungal therapy in patients with AML who received antimold prophylaxis. Therefore, broad-spectrum antifungal therapy in patients receiving antimold prophylaxis might be delayed until there is clear evidence of IFIs.
