Simultaneous Heart-Kidney Transplant With Planned Delayed Implantation of the Kidney Graft After Ex Vivo Perfusion.

This case series highlights the potential utility of delayed kidney implantation in SHK patients. SHK with delayed renal transplant may provide an improved physiologic environment for renal transplant, which may result in improved early renal graft function. Delayed kidney transplant also provides the opportunity to transplant the kidney graft into an alternate candidate.
