摘要

•Two optimal wavelengths were chosen by analyzing absorption spectra of diesel.•The oil-film thickness measurement system with accuracy of 3.6 % was developed.•Injection processes of diesel on a horizontal quartz plate were investigated.•Falling film flow processes of diesel on a vertical quartz plate were studied.
