Impact of COVID-19 on diagnosis of tuberculosis, multidrug-resistant tuberculosis, and on mortality in 11 countries in Europe, Northern America, and Australia. A Global Tuberculosis Network study

•The impact of COVID-19 on tuberculosis (TB) services is not fully understood.•2019 vs 2020 data on TB incidence and mortality were collected in 11 countries.•Fewer TB (new cases/recurrences) and drug-resistant TB were notified in 2020.•More TB-related deaths were observed in 2020.•Urgent prevention and management measures are needed in the post-acute COVID phase.
