Think-4-EmCoDe framework: Highlighting key qualities in embodied co-design techniques for children

•The Think-4-EmCoDe Framework merges and unifies the scattered view of several theories and frameworks of the areas embodied, co-design and children-specific methods.•The framework entails 10 design qualities that allow practitioners to understand, adapt and refine embodied co-design techniques for children.•We show the applicability of the Think-4-EmCoDe Framework on both internally and externally developed techniques.
