•Curcumol alleviated ISO-induced myocardial hypertrophy, fibrosis, and cardiac dysfunction.•Curcumol attenuated cardiac electrical remodeling and ventricular fibrillation susceptibility.•Curcumol inhibited the ISO-induced inflammatory response and apoptosis.•The cardioprotective effects of curcumol were linked to the inhibition of AKT/NF-κB pathway.
