Hysteretic model for corroded reinforced concrete columns retrofitted with FRP

•A polygonal hysteretic model for FRP-retrofitted corroded RC columns was developed.•The parameters of the developed hysteretic model were identified based on test data.•Empirical prediction equations were generated for the parameters of the developed hysteretic model.•The developed hysteretic model was validated and applied for seismic collapse analysis.
