Scalable nanofibrous silk fibroin textile with excellent Mie scattering and high sweat evaporation ability for highly efficient passive personal thermal management

•The excellent Mie scattering is achieved by control over the nanofibers’ diameter.•The as-prepared textile shows high sweat absorption and evaporation ability.•A temperature drop of ∼5.5 °C is achieved compared with the hydrophobe textile.•Silk protein is a promising renewable and degradable material.
