This interaction is important in many thematic areas in tissue engineering, and we think the issue should encompass many anatomical regions and physiological conditions.This prominent special issue will consider articles from the full breadth of evidence: from original research papers and reviews, to perspectives, profiles, commentaries, and exemplary front matter. The special issue will publish as a collection featured in Tissue Engineering, Part A.Areas of interest include, but are not limited to: Macrophage response to tissue engineered constructs or strategiesImmune response to tissue engineered constructs or strategiesProtection of tissue engineered constructs from unwanted immune destructionImmune activating biomaterials in wound response strategiesTissue regeneration with support from immune cells and signalsDiscovery of immune system and tissue regeneration interactionsWe also encourage submission of papers that have been published in conference proceedings, with the requirement that the authors have made significant extensions as compared to the already published version of the study.Questions or pre-submission queries?
