Phase Separation in Heterogeneous Media

AbstractThis chapter is a review of recent results on a variational model in the context of the gradient theory for fluid–fluid phase transitions with small-scale heterogeneities. We present a Γ-convergence result that identifies an anisotropic limiting surface energy and investigate some of its properties.
