摘要
The effects of human brain tissue electrical conductivity (TEC) on the performance of head microwave imaging (HMI) are investigated in this paper. Based on the verified models (i.e., anatomical human head model and antenna array) and the classic confocal imaging algorithm, their dependence is studied in Sim4life simulations and experiments. Results show that the scattered energy decreases nonlinearly with increasing TEC, and tissues with lower TEC have a more significant impact on imaging degradation. These findings provide a basis for HMI system design.
