Testing open-source tools for optical chemical structure recognition on novel nitrogen-rich energetic materials

In this study, a rule-based optical structure recognition and one based on a CNN are tested on nitrogen-rich materials to see if they can be coupled to software for predicting the properties of said materials. Overall, the accuracy has been tested on three scientific publications, to see if it is possible to easily extract information from literature to assemble large databases for material property prediction.
