To determine location and size of distributed generation (DG) and D-STATCOM (DS) in radial distribution system (RDS) Arithmetic Optimization Algorithm is used in this research paper under different scenarios. Proposed work has formulated objective function for minimizing power loss, voltage deviation, enhancing VSI, and annual energy saving of system considering equality and in equality constraints. For the compensation of active power DG is used and DS is used for reactive power compensation. Reduction in total power loss, voltage profile enhancement, and annual energy saving is done by optimally allocating DG and DS. MATLAB-2021a is used to find simulation result for IEEE33 bus RDS.
