Adaptive Fast Power Control of Voltage Controlled Inverter Based on Timed Power Disturbance

With the continuous improvement of the penetration rate of new energy, the power grid gradually presents a weak network state. Voltage controlled grid connected inverter (VCI) has attracted more and more attention in recent years because it can show stronger stability under the conditions of weak and extremely weak power grid. However, the active power control bandwidth of VCI is much lower than that of current controlled grid connected inverter (CCI), the power step response of VCI under the extremely weak network reaches the second level, which is difficult to meet the requirements of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for dynamic response. In this regard, the main research contents of this paper are as follows: 1) establish a simplified transfer function of VCI power response, and propose a fast power control strategy based on additional zeros, which can effectively reduce the adjustment time of power step response; 2) In order to eliminate the influence of grid impedance change on parameter design, a parameter adaptive method based on timed power disturbance is proposed; 3) Finally, the correctness of the proposed scheme is verified on a 20 kW machine.
