Analysis of Digital Twin Based Systems for Asset Management on Various Computing Platforms

Any analogous physical object, often a company’s resources, may have a digital twin. Its foundation is made up of asset-specific data items, which are then commonly improved using semantic technologies and analysis/simulation environments. The DT paves the way for comprehensive asset management, from basic monitoring to fully autonomous operation. The idea relies heavily on covering the whole asset lifetime. The digital twin should provide extensive networking for its data to enable sharing and exchange across all lifecycle participants. In this paper, we analyze the concept of digital twin in detail. Along with this, we analyze the evaluation of digital twin technology over the years.
