Some Investigations on Path Protection Schemes in Next Generation Optical Wireless Converged Networks

A novel path protection scheme is being proposed in this research paper. The main focus in this research paper is to avoid equipment redundancy, increasing channel utilization and bandwidth of the network. The proposed architecture proves to be a better solution as compared to conventional schemes. As customer needs resiliency and reliability, fast restoration of the network is a crucial aspect. In order to achieve this, a dynamic traffic re-routing scheme has been proposed so that faster restoration and resiliency in the network may be achieved, thereby increasing the overall performance of the network in terms of channel utilization and bandwidth.
