摘要
The research is to build a cloud-base data analysis system with the UniMelb Research Cloud to study the lifestyle among suburbs within Inner Melbourne. Beyond the academic purpose, the system can be applied for business measures, such as consumer behavior analysis of Australians. To better understand Australians’ lifestyles, the analytic system requires features of crawling data from twitter, storing information, and analyzing correlations between trendy topics and user ‘s demography. The objective of the project is to prove the feasibility and reliability of the system by verifying three main hypotheses: 1. The correlation exists between the popularity of a specific cuisine in an area and the percentage of local Australians of that area, i.e. Australian people have a general preference for the choice of food; 2. Suburbs with lower average income would favour different sport(s) than suburbs with a higher average income in general; 3. Suburbs with lower average age would tweet more in late-night (12 am-6 am) than the suburbs with higher average are.
