Efficient Anti-Frosting on Discrete Nanoclusters via Spatiotemporal Control of Condensation Frosting Dynamics

•The nanowire cluster enables an out-of-plane vapor gradient that spatially localized the Cassie condensates on the cluster edge.•Our design provides in-plane wetting discreteness that temporally facilitated droplet self-removal.•The anti-frosting duration of the NC surface is ∼ 3 and ∼ 4 folds of the other surfaces for comparison.
