摘要
The inability to modulate or control thoughts, emotions, and actions has been proposed as a central process dysfunction in posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). We have developed a computational approach to better quantify and delineate inhibitory control using a proportion-derivative (PD) control model with two parameters: Kp, a preemptive drive component, and Kd, a reactive damping component. This study tests the hypothesis that individuals with PTSD exhibit reductions in both drive and damping on a continuous motor control task.
