Brassica plants promote Apis mellifera visitation to Japanese apricot in cold conditions

•Honey bee visit to Japanese apricot was restricted by low temperatures.•Additional floral resources increase honey bee visitation in cold condition.•When more floral resources were present, more honey bees visited the Japanese apricot.
