•A novel theoretical acceptance model of the crowdsourced delivery service to explore the public attitudes is proposed.•Social influence and trust are verified as the most important antecedents of behavioral intention.•Interestingly, the experience of being occasional deliverymen impacts the crowdsourced delivery usage intention.
