•A new amine-functionalized bimetallic FeCo-MOF on porous nickel foam was designed.•Hierarchical FeCoMOF/NF was utilized as impedimetric electrodes for IL-1RA sensing.•FeCo MOF/NF is the first immunosensor to detect IL-1RA in human oral cancer samples.
