摘要

•Large area TiP/Mg-RE composites with no defects are prepared by laser melt injection.•Microhardness of TiP/Mg-RE is 100% higher than that of the matrix, reaching 145HV.•TiP/Mg-RE had a stable friction coefficient and good wear resistance.
