摘要
The SILAM model was tested against the measurements of ground-based monitoring stations, when the peaks of SO2 and NO2 concentrations from tall industrial stacks occurred in cold anticyclonal weather with frequent ground-based thermal inversions. It was found that along with adequacy in terms of meso-scale transport, the ground-based inversions, hindering the vertical transport, may appear challenging for SILAM to reproduce the near-surface concentrations of air pollutants, as the depth and strength of inversions are hard to forecast. Further investigations are needed for proper improvements in setup or even parametrizations of the model.
