Enhanced oxidization and corrosion resistance of silver nanowire based transparent conductor by nickel electroplating to obtain power conversion efficiency > 18 % in perovskite solar cells

•Nickel electroplating is applied to treat silver nanowire basing transparent conductors, which enhances the oxidization and corrosion resistance of the conductor.•The improved oxidization and corrosion resistance helps to obtain power conversion efficiency of 18.37% in perovskite solar cells using AgNWs as substrates.•Storage-stability of the devices is monitored, 80 % of initial performance is reserved after the device is stored in dark for 432 h.
