Two-Layer Optimal Scheduling of CHP Microgrid Considering Electric Vehicles

Optimal management of electric vehicle (EV) charging and discharging can greatly improve the operation economy and reduce the power supply pressure during the peak load period. In view of the economic operation problem of combined heating and power (CHP) microgrid considering EV charging and discharging, this paper establishes a two-layer optimization scheduling model. The first layer aims to minimize the variance of load curve and minimize the dissatisfaction of EV owners, and the second layer modifies superior results based on real-time predicted power and unplanned EV behaviors. Furthermore, this paper proposes multi-objective improved sparrow search algorithm (MISSA) to solve the high-dimensional, nonlinear and multi-objective model. The simulation results show that the proposed strategy can achieve win-win situation between EV owners and microgrid operators, and the operation cost is reduced by 6.29%, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method.
