摘要
Exciton is the elementary excitation in semiconductors with energy close to Eg, bound by electron and hole. Spin is an intrinsic form of angular momentum carried by elementary particles, especially for electron, transition metal(TM) ion and photon. Here we discuss the excitonic magnetic polaron-----coupling of exciton or electron with coupled spins of doped Transition metal(TM) ions in the micrometer sized diluted magnetic semiconductor(DMS) nanostructures, and their formation, dynamic spectral responses, collective behaviors have been discussed in this review, because they have important influences on their optical properties, reflected by the profound spin-related emission behaviors and the collective magnetic excitonic polaron condensation processes in such micrometer sized DMS space, which may have valuable applications in the quantum modulation and lighting technology.
