Analysis of Ambient Air Quality by Exploring LoRaWAN based Connectivity in Fog based Infrastructure

Air quality monitoring involves collecting and measuring samples of air pollutants to assess the state of the atmosphere compared to clean air standards. It is mandatory to continuously monitor the ambient air quality for maintaining the pollution criteria of a particular geographical in respect of National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). Therefore, it becomes very necessary to regularly supervise the air superiority circumstances in a geographical area to avoid critical situations related to health and the environment. This paper focuses on the latency improvement, local awareness, and compromises that come under security aspects by using the Internet of Things (IoT) and Fog computing architecture comprising of LoRaWAN technologies. For improving services the data gathered by the sensors is processed in the fog layer due to its localization and the outcomes as a result in the form of information are sent to the devices in the air superiority measurement stations. The proposed architecture is comprised of a fog layer and the data collection sensors e.g. Internet of Things. The measurement of priority processes is done with improved latency.
