A privacy-preserving dialogue system based on argumentation

•We propose a dialogue system architecture able to preserve the privacy of the users, a problem that is scarcely addressed in the literature.•We perform reasoning through computational argumentation, thus leveraging detailed explanations of the system’s answers.•We address language understanding with state-of-the-art methods.•We discuss a COVID-19 vaccine information case-study.•We provide a detailed experimental evaluation of a prototype implementation.
