Designing Basic Ontologies for Training Specialists in Interdisciplinary Knowledge Domains

Ontologies are the basis for representing knowledge domain structures. The design of ontologies is a multistage process with the participation of a number of specialists: analysts, experts in areas of knowledge, knowledge engineers, linguists, etc. The stages of ontology design and examples of knowledge areas for training in an integrated automated environment are presented.
