摘要
•Patients undergoing TAVR with SE valves are more likely to have anatomic features denoting high risk of coronary obstruction than patients receiving BE valves.•Patients receiving SE valves are also more likely to use valve-in-valve procedures than patients receiving BE valves.•As a result of these clinical and anatomic features of risk, patients treated with SE valves had higher rates of coronary obstruction and cardiac mortality at 3 years; this is due to their higher risk clinical and anatomic phenotypes rather than a function of the valve type itself.
