摘要
Interprofessional community-based health education (CBHE) provides teams of health professions’ students the opportunity to learn about the factors within the community that impact health. The interprofessional CBHE literature is void of information relating to the development, implementation and sustainability of these learning experiences. Three United States (U.S.) based institutions engaging students in interprofessional CBHE experiences use the current literature to share similarities that support the sustainability of their respective programs. Funding, a centralized organizational structure, defined program leaders, community member and faculty recruitment plans, and defined community member interaction are some of the common factors supporting the sustainability of large-scale interprofessional CBHE.
